Eren x Reader- Hateful Love

“So, ___, I need to ask you something,” said Armin, peeking through his blonde bangs at you.
Your eyes darted up to him, showing the boy you were listening.
“Yeah?”
“Well, about Eren,”
Upon hearing his name, you groaned.
“Why do you guys not like each other? You guys can’t sit next to each other without breaking into argument. Hell, you can’t even look at each other normally. All you do is glare. It’s been bugging my curiosity, and I really want to know. Please?”
Armin pleaded, raising the tone of his voice in the most adorable way-slightly encouraging you to spill the information.
You sighed, finally giving in.
You poked your fork at your food.
“It’s simple,”
Armin raised his eyebrows, expecting some kind of dramatic story as to why the both of you dislike each other so greatly.
“ Eren and I are just two completely different people. We’ve disagreed on everything the other had to say, and it’s been like that since we met. Are you satisfied?”
Armin looked down at his food, staring at it like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
“Oh”
Was the only thing that slipped out of his mouth.
You stared at him, waiting for him to say something else.
A sly grin appeared on the blonde’s face.
“I remember reading at book about a situation a lot like this. The boy and girl hated each other, ever since childhood. It continued on that way for a while.”
Armin explained, watching as you cracked a smile.
“I guess were not the only ones.” You said.
To hearing that, Armin’s smile grew wider.
“I’m not finished. So the boy and girl continue to dislike each other, but it changes when the boy falls in love with the girl. The girl was flustered about the whole thing, but eventually gave in to him. And they loved each other a lot. Then cute kisses, cuddles, jealousy, and even love-making. The book ended when the boy proposed to her. I was kind of upset about it, actually. It was a good story line, and well written.”
You looked at him questioningly, even tilting your head a bit to the side for effect.
A small thought ran through your mind, and then you narrowed your eyes at him.
“So, What exactly are you suggesting?” You said, in a slow tone, to emphasize the fact that if he was suggesting  what you were thinking, you did not like the idea.
“Obviously, I’m saying you and Eren might overlook each others differences, and  fall in love. Of course, it’s just something I’m inferring. “
You stifled a giggle.
“Armin, that’s  too cute! You actually believe Eren and I will tolerate each other to the point at which we love each other ? No way in hell. “
Armin shrugged.
“Well, you never know. It might happen sometime.”
Your conversation was interrupted by Mikasa, who sat down right next to Armin.
“Hi Mikasa,” You started, smiling at your friend.
She gave a small wave.
“So, How has your-“
You stopped abruptly when he sat next to you.
You sighed.
“Jaeger,” you said in monotone.
“Well, Nice to see you too, ___” He hissed back , putting a cup up to his mouth and gulped down some water.
“So anyways, Mikasa, How was your day?”
“It was like any other. How about you?”
“It was fine. Oh, and congrats on ranking number one in the top ten. Of course, I was expecting it from you. You’re amazing.”
“Thanks. “ She said, while nibbling onto a  piece of bread.
“Oh yeah, ___..”
Eren started, already getting an unapproving glare from you.
“I forgot you didn’t even make it into the top ten. That sucks for you, doesn’t it?”
You gritted your teeth.
“Listen up, bastard. If anything, I-“
Mikasa  interrupted your bickering with a nice, loud slam to the table.
Causing a couple heads in the mess hall to turn to your direction.
“Why don’t you guys shut up and kiss already? Damn, its every day with the same, stupid arguments. Can’t you at least try to get along?”
Jean was the only one who laughed.
“Yeah, Eren. Why don’t you kiss her already? Anything to get you to Shut up is wonderful, really.”
“Shut it, Horseface” Growled Eren.
Jean was about to make another comment, until he saw your deadly glare.
Now he would shut up.
He turned around and minded his own business.
Eren wore a stubborn expression, resting his head on his hand.
If you looked closely, you could see a tinge of pink blush on Eren’s cheeks.
You blushed a bit, just out of pure embarrassment.
You looked to the side, trying to avoid any eye contact.
Armin laughed nervously.
Mikasa sighed.
“Sorry. I didn’t intend to grab everyone’s attention.”
Mikasa said simply, as she stood up with her tray.
You looked at glanced at Armin.
He gave you an apologetic look before trotting behind Mikasa.
You sighed.
“Just so you know, I was ranked 11th. I was close.”
You mumbled , turning your head to face Eren.
“I know. “
He said,  grabbing his fork and poking at his food with it.
“Hmph.”
You grabbed your tray still full of food, and dropped it by Sasha.
When she noticed the added food to her meal, she looked up at you with her eyes full of joy.
You smiled, and patted her head.
“Knock yourself out,” You said while walking away.
“I Love you!!!” She shouted at you.
You smiled.
On your way out, Eren’s eyes drifted on to you, watching as you walked away.
You caught a glance of your smile, and to that, his heart rate sped up.
He just ignored it.
“Idiot,” He mumbled, shoving a spoonful of mashed potatoes in his mouth.
“Why do you have to be so complicated?”
